Al Haboob Supports Orphaned Children in Mecca During Ramadan

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – March 16, 2026: Al Haboob, the world’s first professional camel racing team, visited Waqf Aytam Al Balad Al Haram al Khairy, an orphanage in Mecca, where they distributed essential supplies and connected with children and volunteers as part of a heartfelt Ramadan initiative.

The pledge forms part of Al Haboob’s wider commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, reinforcing the team’s belief that sport can play a positive role beyond competition.

“The charitable work carried out by Al Haboob during Ramadan was incredible,” said Paul Pogba, ambassador and shareholder. “Omar and the team have played a special part in bringing smiles to people’s faces during the holy month. Giving back to the community is always important, and I’m proud to be associated with Al Haboob’s efforts.”

The AS Monaco midfielder shared Al Haboob’s Meals on Wheels initiative to his 65 million Instagram followers on March 13, generating significant engagement.

“This initiative perfectly reflects what Al Haboob stands for beyond the racetrack,” said founder Omar Almaeena. “Giving back during Ramadan is rewarding and Al Haboob will continue striving to make an impact.”

Looking ahead, Al Haboob will compete at the Crown Prince Camel Festival in Taif in August 2026 – the largest camel race in the world, where over 100,000 camels competed for more than SAR 50 million in prize money in 2025.
