Abu Al Khattab (Abo Khattab)

Abu Al Khattab - full name Hamed Salem Al Jadaili Al Wahaibi, is one of the most respected camel racing coaches in the Gulf. Born into the Al Wahaibi tribe in Oman, a community renowned for its mastery of camel breeding and racing, Abu Al Khattab grew up in a Bedouin racing environment that gave him an early and unmatched understanding of camel physiology and behaviour.

His career reached its pinnacle as the lead trainer for the Royal Camel Corps, handling camels owned by His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. His camels dominated the prestigious His Majesty's Camel Cup Festival, the most celebrated race in Oman, earning him recognition at royal events and multiple national honours. He later expanded his winning presence across the GCC, competing at elite tracks in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.

At Al Haboob Racing, Abu Al Khattab oversees the physical conditioning, race tactics, and day-to-day management of the team's camels, including stars like Alshrood, Almamlaka, Jabara, and Hoboob. He trains with a high staff-to-camel ratio, blending rigorous scientific routines with the patience and discipline of generations-old Bedouin practice.
