Omar Almaeena - known as Omzz is the co-founder and Strategy Director of Al Haboob Racing. Coming from a prominent media family in Jeddah, Omar was educated at Syracuse University where he studied Finance and Marketing, before forging a career spanning banking, venture capital, and startups including an early investment in Lyft.
It was a shared passion with childhood friend Safwan Modir that pulled Omar into the world of camel racing. Together, they co-founded RedSea Camel Co. in 2021, combining Omar's financial acumen and creative vision with Saff's operational expertise. Omar leads strategy, partnerships, and global expansion for Al Haboob Racing, positioning the team as a professionally structured, globally ambitious sports project.
As the creative lead at Fatha Productions, Omar writes and produces content rooted in Saudi heritage. He is the co-star and co-writer of Netflix's Camel Quest, a series that introduced the world to the excitement and culture of Saudi camel racing. His ambition is to make Al Haboob a brand that transcends sport and becomes a cultural phenomenon.
